Massotherapy

Massage therapy is also referred to as body work or restoration. A multitude of body healing techniques are practiced all over the world. Although deep tissue techniques may be employed, we often prefer light, gentle massage styles that help everyone, especially those individuals who are:

Sensitive to human touch (more comfortable with animals, birds, nature and elements of nature than human contact)

Energetically intuitive and attuned (affected by other people’s energies or emotional sponges who need safe space and time)

Introverted individuals (being with oneself is wonderful, there are so many things to explore, we choose when to socialize, want to be left alone, people are great at a distance or observed through a magnifying glass)

Emotional empath (self-giving, philanthropic personalities who care deeply about the well-being of others, giving oneself yet wanting to balance service with compassionate self-care without feeling guilty or selfish)

HSP (highly sensitive person who is sensitive to light, environmental changes, to certain foods, people and many others. To thrive an HSP needs natural organic ingredients in food and common household products, they love authenticity, joy, meaningful deep connections and artistic endeavors)

Gentle turtles (tough on the outside, gentle on the inside. Having a shell of protection to shield from the unknown is useful. Turtles may poke their heads out to see if its safe to come out of the shell. When enough trust develops, they release some of the armour and relax sharing their wonderful personalities)

Artistic creative (see beauty in everything, loves crafting and creating things with pottery, watercolors, oil paints, or elements of nature. Enjoys music, dancing, star gazing, bringing along a sketch pad or a journal. Is not bound by time or social norms, goes with the flow and blooms when watered with love and art)

Welcome to Massage Therapy

If this if your first visit, we welcome you. During your first visit, we talk about any areas, physical and/or emotional that would benefit from massage therapy and integration. We will also discuss if massage therapy is right for you. Is it the appropriate healing technique for your situation or would another health care practitioner be more useful? Your well-being is the priority.  Do you have any intentions for your session? Setting some small goal is useful and helps us feel like we have passed a milestone. Feel free to share your intention with the practitioner so we can collaborate.

During the session, feel free to express any pain, emotion or sensitivities. You can be silent if you wish, or speak if desired. After the session, it is recommended to get up slowly and gently, drink water and relax. Enjoy your day!
